A highly anticipated, exciting community project that brought residents, artists & Keswick Island visitors together in a unique, stunning location in the Mackay Whitsunday region from 31 July to 30 September 2022.

My children will be talking about this art trail for the rest of the year. Best family day out ever!

Hello Keswick Island! 🤩

Where have you been hiding?

Keswick Island is located 32km NE of Mackay in the beautiful Whitsunday islands. It’s a peaceful, idyllic getaway from the hustle and bustle of the mainland.

If you’ve never been there, you really should consider visiting soon—especially while the Keswick Island Art Trail is open to the public.

We’d love to see you here and give you a warm welcome!

Take a walk on the wild side!

Just kidding… It’s pretty tame on Keswick Island.

The Keswick Island Art Trail is a 1km walk with the steepest part being around a 3/5 in effort (if you’re unfit!)

Take your time and start either end depending on where you arrive. From the Keswick Kiosk on Egremont Passage or from the Beach Hut on Basil Bay.

A leisurely walk of the trail can take up to 1.5-2 hrs and by golf buggy around 30 minutes to an hour. This includes the time taking photos and chatting to other people.

Meet Our Artists

They came out of the woods for this!

This community initiative has been a wonderful opportunity for existing and emerging artists to engage in solo and collaborative artworks utilising some recycled beach debris.

The project encouraged local inclusivity while promoting community well-being and future art innovation.

The professional workshops held by Lalune Croker were valuable, satisfying and a lot of fun! Click the button below to read more about our amazing artists.

Come & See the Artworks

There are nine in total!
